Fixed seating sets the character of a room, but loose chairs fill the rest of it. We offer a small range of traditional timber chairs that sit naturally with settles, booths and banquettes, so a whole floor can be supplied and shipped together.
Choosing chairs for fixed seating
| Point | What to check |
|---|---|
| Seat height | 450–460 mm, matching the banquette opposite |
| Width | 430–480 mm so chairs do not crowd a 700 mm table |
| Back | Low enough not to block sightlines across the room |
| Frame | Solid timber with jointed rails, finished to take spills |
| Feet | Glides suited to your floor, to protect boards and tiles |
Timber chairs without upholstery are generally simpler on fire safety, because the regulations for upholstered seating focus on foam and fabric. If you add seat pads, specify them to the same fire standard as the rest of the seating.
Chairs are finished to match your fixed seating, and can be shipped in the same container as your booths, which usually makes for the most economical delivery.
